Check BIOS settings, from within XP?

Pure curiosity ........ any way to access the settings from within the XP OS?  Any clever small app that can do this?  Not for making changes - just read only.

Main reason is laziness plus finding an easy way to record the settings without always having to reboot and stop at beginning.

Why are you always rebooting and entering the bios? Barring a specific problem or need to make a one time adjustment you should never be in the bios in the first place.

I am not ''always rebooting'' - in fact I do not choose to enter BIOS unless really necessary.  I do though have to replace my 2032 battery and so am wanting to check and note my current BIOS settings for the record - but it would be handy if that could be accessed without doing it thru a reboot.

I was pretty sure there was no convenient way to access other than direct but thought I'd ask. Thanks.

when you replace a CMOS battery the BIOS  reverts to default settings...
this should be good enough for the machine to run and let you need o make any neccessary changes...

I think he knows that and just wants to know what the current settings are to make it easier to get back to these settings after changing the battery. I think.

Take a pic of each screen.  That's about the only way I know.
