monitor will not turn on at all

    Ok guys,

had problems with building my new computer so I called in a pc repair guy. He fixed it for me and managed to get the computer working, with the monitor actually turning on. He left me to fix the rest.....and left. Since then, not been able to get the monitor back on.

The processor cooling system is working as is the fan on the graphics card both of which are spinning. The monitor cable is firmly plugged into the computer, and I have not damaged it in the short time the technican has left my house.

I am a total and utter loss guys! :(

When you switch on the monitor does the LED light up? Is there a message that says "No Signal" or something similar?
