power supply

I have an Apevia warlock 900 watt power supply with 4 12v rails at 28A
I am currently running dual 9800 gtx with 2 rails. If I up grade to dual gtx 275s that need 40A can I still use my power supply using two rails for each card? Or will I need a different power suppy?

If you are using 2 rails on one card that would be 56A so you will be fine as far as I can tell. You are using a 900W power supply sand they can usually handle big loads.
Is the psu sli certified?
Don't worry about it.  If it's not good at stock, then it's not good.

Apevia web page lists as 28A and also on the psu. Also, patio, what was a lot of bunk?

    Well as most every power supply has all +12 volt leads connected to the same land on the PC board (single +12VDC supply) and since that label shows 4 legs each rated at 28A, something does NOT add up. 4 X 28A is 112A, not 62A as the label says.

    That indicates that not all legs can be maxed out and that any individual leg can supply 28 amps but at the expense of the others for a TOTAL of 64A

    1.  Connected to same power plane within the motherboard through multiple lands (i.e., entry points).  Lands are the limiting factor, can't put 60A through 1 land to get to the power plane.
    2.  Correct.  Also, you can't max out all the other voltages, which would be total of 926.2W.  Most new motherboards don't use 3.3V or -12V anymore, but they still use +5V.
