Increase the connection limit IE 8

Hi guys

Problem: Slow Page rendering
1. Increase the connection limit. This tweak allows IE to make up to 16 connections per server.

Can anybody explain it a little more, it only gives you a link to download the file.
But i am interested to know a bit more.

It doesn't apply to Vista anymore, since with one of the updates, M$ dropped the limit.

OK, broni this does not apply to vista, so that leaves me with the xp machine.
I have just added these to the registry in xp.., but would this work in vista , i've got a bit confused now , with "updates dropped the limit"

"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000010
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000010

So if i was to try

TCP-Z Free Download (Half Open TCP/IP Memory Patcher for x86 and x64 Windows 7, Vista and XP)

Would i have to delete these reg enteries in xp

so this is what my advice was for.

As for Vista, if you updates are current, you don't need any TCP/IP patch, because half-open connections are not limited anymore.

Also, in Vista "MaxConnections" are already set to 10.

If i navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet settings 
In vista, these DWORD values are not there.

MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000010
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000010

I had to add those in xp

I am not sure if this is the same path for Vista, but would i have to do the same in vista

I have those entries in Vista, but it's possible, I added them and I simply don't remember.
You can safely add them.
