Hi Broni thanks for the reply. The link to the template is here
 http://www.actiview.de/free-joomla-templates.html

The template is called SpacePost 3D Template

My site is here www.spaceandscience.co.uk

I need to squash the header down so it's not so dominating. Also squash the footer.
I also need to re-size the menu on the right so I can add larger and coloured links to the forum etc. In fact I want it to look more like the one in the picture at actiview.
Also need to change the colour of the MENU label as it's too dark.
There's loads more but don't want to bombard you. Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

May I ask why you're using a frame?

Have you considered using the "Open Space Template" from that page you linked with the templates?
The image sizes on the template you have at the moment are quite ridiculous. The header is 293 kb which is huge. The footer is 216 kb on top of that.

Yeah I agree... I did not install that template a friend did it... I can't seem to install the template to joomla. I have downloaded the file, extracted and I'm in the install section on joomla. I search the file but there are no archive files and I'm not sure what to do... sorry as I stated this is all new to me  :(
Thanks for the help though..

It only accepts ZIP and RAR files I think.

Who is your web host? This is for the SMF forum isn't it?

Don't worry about it.

But actually, that was a question. ;D I'll rephrase it.
Have you purchased any hosting package with the domain name spaceandscience.co.uk?

That's why I asked about the frame. Not that great for search engines.
But anyway, it's easy enough to sort that in the future if you want to.

Okay, there is one relatively large problem. That host you have, 000a.biz, doesn't seem to allow PHP mail which is needed not just for Joomla but for SMF as well, which would explain the notification problems.
Is there any page where they list what the package features are?

I've seen them advertised in a lot of computer mags you can get here in Ireland. I usually find it better to get both hosting and domain name reg with both the one company - it's usually cheaper aswell.

Not only is it cheaper to get both at the same time, but a lot of web host companies will give you a free domain when you sign up. You could check out ___ to find hosts that include a free domain.

    No spam please.

    No spam please.

Who exactly is going to spam you? Have you made your email visible? Or have you not read the rules on Spam.. that it is not allowed and will be deleted by staff. Just curious why you added that, I have never seen anyone add that.
