Can't get to any pages requiring sign-in

I use IE8, and recently had to switch the phone number my computer dials to connect, but still through the same ISP.  Since doing this, we cannot get on any sites that require you to sign in.  ISP said it has nothing to do with them.  Wife can't do her unemployment, can't use Ebay, things like that.  Any help appreciated.  Thanks.

would you not go back to ie7 and see if its the same you can always go back to ie8 if it is
