    Install window.... too large
    « on: December 10, 2009, 07:57:45 AM »
Vista laptop HP.  A window keeps popping up for me to download a program of Vista onto a DVD.  I want to do it, but the window is so large I cant get to the "next"
button at the bottom of the window.  I can not move the window to get at it.  How do I move it???
    thanks.

How long has this been happening?  How long have you owned that computer?  Have you ever created a recovery disc on DVD from the recovery partition on the hard drive?

Thanks for input.  Yes I am a new user of Vista, long time XP.
This window wantws me to download a recovey dist to a DVD.  I can do it ok but to continue, I need to click on "next" but it is below the screen and I have been unable to move the window up to get at the "next" button.  So, my question is how to move the
window up to get at the next button!!!

      1) What is a recovery dist?
      2) What is generating this message?

      It's actually a "a recovey dist".

You know, I honest to goodness couldn't figure out what a "dist" was until just now.

If you know this is a legitimate message and you want to download it, just change the screen resolution for the time being.

Or it's not a sizable window.

The next button on most wizards has an accesskey of Alt+N.
