      0.  Say What?  Need more information.

      1.  Area.  I don't know what this is, where it would be stored, or how it would be changed.  Some Microsoft operating systems have "Regional" settings...?
           a.  Is this a "setting" within the router or operating system?
           b.  Is it changing your "language", "location", or both?
           c.  Where do you see the "area" reported?

      2.  Router.
           a.  Is this a home router or commercial grade (industrial strength)?
           b.  What is the make, model name, model number, and hardware version number?  Report whatever is on the identification plate on the back or bottom of a home router.  No idea where it would be on a "commercial" router.

      3.  Operating System.  Which one and service pack level; e.g. Windows XP Home Edition SP3?

If we can find user documentation on their website, perhaps someone can make some sense out of this.  Should we be using their "Australia" website.

Which router?  There is more than one.  See NetComm Routers.

Unfortunately, their website doesn't list them as "3g usb 11n wifi router".

Look on the back or bottom of the router (or the box) for something like:
                     BP504UK
                     NB504
                     NP740N
                     NP800n
                     NP801n
                     NP802n
                     NP803n

Or click on the light blue web link http://www.netcomm.com.au/products2/routers and see if you can identify it by its picture.

Well, I guess that would be this http://www.netcomm.com.au/products/3g/3g18wn.

This is technology I'm not familiar with.  I'd have to do some research.  If there's anyone out there with knowledge, now would be a good time to share.

                        1.  Internet Interface.  This device permits an Internet connection through:
                             a.  "wired"  WAN port (to fixed line service - DSL/cable/satellite)
                             b.  external 3G USB modem

Which one are you using to access Internet?  Or do you have both methods available to you (paying two different Internet Service Providers)?

                        2.  Reset/WPS button.  Are you using the "Reset/WPS" button on back of router to "reset" it.  If you hold button down for ten seconds, you reset router to factory default settings (all your changes are gone).

i set it all up and it keeps changing my area from australia to albania when it does this i cant use the inter net
                        3.  3G Internet Settings.  There's a web configuration page displayed on page 27 of the 3G18Wn User Guide.  There's a WWAN (3G) Settings subsection on the display to specify "APN" and select country from list.
                             a.  Is this where you specify your "area" and "Australia"?
                             b.  Do you select the "Apply" button to set the changes?

Are you using the 3G USB or are you using a modem hooked up to the WAN? There is a user's manual here http://netcomm.com.au/__data/assets/file/0009/55386/3G18Wn_UG.pdf
Sometimes it is easier to go to your ISP's website. I have found they give me better(easier) set up instructions than the Router manual.

Sorry, dahlarbear didnt mean to step on your toes, I was typing at the same time you was.

                              1.  Router Reset.  I'm not sure what you mean by the phrase "reset the router".
                                   a.  Are you resetting back to factory defaults?
                                   b.  If so, why?  What settings are preventing you from connecting?

                              2.  Firmware Version.  What is the firmware version?  Should be on the "status" page shown on login to 3G18Wn or by selecting "Status" from top menu.

Let me make sure I am understanding correctly.
You set up your connection and are connected to the internet using the router.
                                You turn the router off.
                                Turn the router back on.
And you have no connection and have to set up everything all over again to get connected.
                                Is this correct?
