Route Microphone audio to Speakers

I got a ATI TV Wonder 600 USB and I use Debut Video Capture software to record TV. The video is routed to the tuner and the audio is routed to the Microphone jack. (I record through Composite input).
The laptop is a Dell B130. How do I make this work?

Did it ever work?
Was this recommended for your system?
Do the instructions say to run audio into the Microphone jack?
I never have heard of that. The microphone jack is for a microphone only. You can damage your sound chip by putting audio into the microphone jack.
