Mostly white desktop background
« on: December 24, 2009, 02:47:55 PM »
I have a Dell Inspiron 2600 laptop using Windows XP (SP3).
Yesterday I pushed the button to let the computer hibernate overnight.  This morning it had still not begun to hibernate, so I turned it off.  When I turned it on, I got the message that my active desktop had been disabled.  Nothing I tried worked.  I now have my desired desktop background showing on only the left fifth of the screen, with the rest being white.  All icons are crowded on the left fourth of the screen.  How do I get the normal full screen background back?
