    PC/Widows hangs/freezes at startup
    « on: June 26, 2005, 09:50:33 PM »
I just reformatted out of jealousy of the other computer's newfound speed. Now, for no reason, the computer or Windows XP(I assume Windows) is freezing either as soon as it gets to the desktop, or right before that at the Windows loading screen. I did a complete format of the drive, (not the Quick version) everything was smooth sailing until I got to this point. Any solutions? TIA

I tried to repair, it found an error/s, it fixed them, but it still isn't working.

        Sir Knight:

Is the operating system hanging while you are installing Windows XP, or after the installation was successful?  Does it hang every time or just some of the time?

Also, i too what like to know what the errors stated as it might give us a vital clue what to do!

        :)

        Regards,
        Doc
