    Problems with dns server

    Hi guys :) Im having problems on the internet since using Opera for about 3-4 days, then i started  getting dns problems when i diagnosed my connection it said " Windows can not find well known host www.Microsoft.com DNS server may be down, I did delete opera and went back to using Mozilla Firefox and the same thing happens after 3 days, And i run cmd it says Server: Unknown.

    If someone can help me just tell me simple steps to follow and i will follow them.

    Other people have had similar problems. It does not seem to be anything you can fix on your end. It may t be that ytou local ISP is not renting enough bandwidth. Contact them and say you are gowning to drop the contract if they do not fix the problem soon.
    Are you  on Dial Up, DSL or Cable?
    Check with a friend or neighbor and see if they have the same problem.

      Yes im running through dsl :)

        I dont think anyone else has problems, otherwise i would have been told by now, but i had a guy from Virgin media which is are landline he said there was nothing wrong, but then again the internet acces was running at the time but after 2 days it cuts off then i have to turn my computer off.

          Restart the modem and router if you have both...
          Wait 5 minutes...re-boot and see what happens.
