    no active mixer driver installed

    There is no sound in my computer.when I click on volume control I get the meseg that ther is no active mixer driver installed.  :-\ :-\ :-\I 've been ripping my hair for a month nd tried everything i found on net.Please help ??? ???

      Look on the back of the case...it if it occupies 1 of the oval slots it's a card...if not it's onboard.

      Of course you could always open the case as well...
