Blurry Monitor

My monitor just went bad after 9 months. Everything is readable but blurry (like reading newspaper without reading glasses). Color and shapes are fine. Computer is about 5 years old. Monitor problem or video card? How do I troubleshoot?

The monitor is most likely used up.

You could test the monitor on another computer, but are the results the same as on the other PC then there is little chance of it returning to its normal state.

You may also try degaussing.
