« on: June 25, 2005, 12:24:49 PM »
earlyer today, i decided to upgrade my machine from windows 98 to XP.  the first time i tryed, it said i either diddnt have enough memory, or the disk was corrupt.  i tryed again, and it worked perfectly, but now, very few of my drivers work, and i cannot run installation files, i also have no sound (Error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000).  Can anyone help?

    Edward Simpson......  Visit the Windows update page ....let it scan your system then install all the available updates......I'm sure there will be some drivers . Be sure you install SP1 and SP2 and make sure you have the auto updates turned on .

    let us know

    If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

    i had some problems installing xp a while back that were similair to yours.  turns out i had some bad ram and the instalation files couldnt be stored or something, new ram fixed the problem, but yours may be a little different

    I do not think it is possible to switch from Home to Pro by using an upgrade?
