Anyone know of a free RAM scanner (like Crucial) that can be downloaded to a computer with internet capability and then transferred and used on a computer that does NOT have internet connectability? truenorth

When i go to your link even though it says it CAN be downloaded to a location of choice in fact what i got was a very fast accurate scan on the computer i accessed the program on without ever being presented with an option to save.truenorth
"A: Running the online Crucial System Scanner is easy.
First, agree to the terms and conditions.
Click the "start my scan" button.
Save the file to your desktop, or anywhere you prefer.
If you are running Windows XP with Service Pack 2, you will see a yellow prompt at the top of the screen, asking if it is OK to run an ActiveX component. Click the yellow bar and follow the instructions in order to allow the Crucial System Scanner to scan your computer.
You will see a series of screens while the scanner is running, then your customized results will be displayed"

      Gotcha...I misunderstood what was posted.

You could run Everest Home and it will show the capacity and type of RAM used...
At least til you get it back online.

I'll give Everest a try but i think it will only tell me what i have not what total capacity it can take? truenorth
However the Everest scan should also tell me the MOBO so then perhaps i can find out  from that what the capacity is.
