Printing problems with windows 7, IE8, 64 bit

We recently bought a new computer with windows 7 (64 bit) and internet explorer 8.  Now we are having problems printing from the internet.  It previews fine, but when you send it to the printer, nothing happens - no documents show up in the print que.  Is anyone else having this problem and how do I fix it.

It's definitely nothing to do with IE if the print page doesn't appear in the print queue. If the printer configured properly?

What make and model printer ? ?
Have you checked their site for Win7Drivers ? ?

If they are not available try the Vista 64bit drivers instead...

Yes.  We've had no problems printing from email and other softwares.

How long are you waiting ? ?
A web page contains far more data than a text document or an e=mail...

We're using an HP printer - not sure of the model since I'm not at home, but it's also new.  I've waited over an hour for a simple transaction confirmation to print and nothing!

2 other things you can try in the meantime....try printing the web page from the print preview window...

Try another browser...

I spent about 4 hours on the phone with technical support one afternoon while I was off on vacation.  They fixed several other problems, but couldn't fix this one.  They say it's a microsoft problem.

I have also ran into this problem. My wife's work has two computers that have the same issue. They are standalone systems they dont share anything. Both have regular ie and ie 64 bit. The 64 bit version when you try to print.... nothing.  You go into reg ie and do the exact same thing to print, it prints every time. Another thing these computers have is while in thier web based email in reg ie the email is slow to load, you hit the reply or compose buttons it's slow also, when you type its slow and missis what you type every other letter or so. You do the exact same email in the 64 bit ie it loads faster, it works normally.  These computers are newer running win 7 home prem. Any ideas?
