Having Problem Right Before Windows Starts UP

running windows XP.....when the computer starts up (right before I see the
Windows Symbol).......I get the following messages:

SMART FAILURE PREDICTED ON HARD DISK 4:  WFC

Immediately back up data

F1 to Continue............



this is the same computer that I have been trying to fix.....I do have the screen stabilized
but the icons are still slightly larger than normal...I fixed it using SUPER Spyware program

also, how do I use HiJackThis..........

any thoughts about me maybe uninstalling XP and then installing VISTA (I have a VISTA disc)
