    Host lagging?
    « on: January 24, 2010, 08:58:50 PM »
Well, yeah, I'm the host of a home network, my parents and sister are connected to the router. Well, thing is, everytime my parents come home from work and watch movies online, I'd lag, a lot. As in, my ping would range from 300~2000. But whenever no one watches movies or anything and does something else, my ping would go back to 30~50. I'm just wondering if this could be fixed, cause my parents would watch movies for hours, making me unable to play games.

First, your parents shouldn't be watching movies online.

Second, no. They're using up your bandwidth streaming their movies. To reduce your ping, get a better internet plan or tell them to buy the DVDs.

They're not american movies, they're old chinese movies. And, thanks anyway I guess.
