    boot from cd
    « on: January 31, 2010, 08:13:22 PM »
I recently got a Ubuntu Cd to try and get some important files off my virus infected computer. I inserted the cd and pressed F8 to boot from cd but it will not let me. It goes to the screen that says my computer was not shut down properly and i get the options to start normally, safe mode exc... In the right hand corner after I push F8, Invalid and a few other word flash on the screen. It flashes really quickly so I can't read it all. How do I get the computer to boot from a cd?
