Need help with virus problem... The file **** is infected....

I tried following the steps from here:

Step A:
I could not install the microsoft product
I was able to install avast ag, but could not run it.
 
Step 2:
I cannot open add/remove programs

Step 2:
I was able download and install ccleaner, but could not run it.

step 3:
I was able to download SAS, but unable to install it.

I got a serious issue with my system. Somehow some trogan/rogue has affected my system. It keeps flashing me virus alert and whenever i try to run any program it says "Application cannot be executed. The file  **** is infected......." (not even a command prompt or notepad can be opened but with multiple try sometime i get the command prompt but it is ridiculous).

Infact i already had MBAM. Before looking into this forum i tried running MBAM - Malware byte but I get the same error.

Then I google'd and searched this forums and tried the instructions from the below link but no luck. The Superantispyware is not getting installed at all. I also tried installing rkill (all 4 links), but no luck.

Any advice will be appreciated.

update:

I went in to safemode and did a system restore to a week back
I am now able to run malwarebytes.

I am in bigger trouble now.
My computer does not start at all now.
After I restored the settings to about two weeks back, I ran malwarebytes. I also installed ccleaner and avg antivirus. I ran both of them. AVG detected 14 trojans and deleted them. I saved all logs.

I got a message about installing windows updates. I let it go but I think it restarted by itself. In any case now the computer gets stuck at the point where it asks to pick between safemode, last known good configuration and start windows normally.
None of the options works. The system comes back to the same screen.
