Making my CD-ROM my boot disk-
« on: July 02, 2005, 02:40:06 PM »
Dell system Windows XP SP1- Need to reformat my "C" Drive. What do i have to do to make my CD-ROM my first bootable disk.
Depressing the F2 Key gets me to setup and using the arrow keys  to the "BOOT" menu, Arrow down to the CD-ROM [3rd bootable] and highlite have pressed differant key in k/b but can't make CD-rom the first drive, only Enable or Disable.
What am i doing wrong ?
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks

You're nearly there, highlight and change the boot menu instead of the individual drives.
Just look around in that bios area a little more.

Go back into the bios options and chose.....setup defaults...save and exit it....now load the dell r/c disk....

What has made you do this re-install<
