I downloaded HiJack This & I'm lost

I followed the advice from the first post from evilfantasy(thanks,btw) : http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.msg290095.html#msg290095
   where you get rid of malaware & viruses etc...and I downloaded that HiJack This.exe and I'm confused about what to do with it.A big list of things came up...and the directions say not to delete anything your unsure of....but should I check off those boxes and delete all of those? I can always do a system restore if it goes wrong,I suppose..?? But is that all malaware or things in the registry that aren't needed?

MODIFYING THIS POST: I went back and copied what is on the notepad after the scan.Does this help understand what I'm trying to find out.(sorry,I'm not very good at understanding this stuff)But here is that list,if it matters..?

Sorry for the delay, if you still need help, please do the following:

Please download DDS by sUBs from BleepingComputer.com or Forospyware.com and save it to your Desktop.

Note: Before scanning, make sure all other running programs are closed. There shouldn't be any scheduled antivirus scans running while the scan is being performed. Do not use your computer for anything else during the scan.

• Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
• A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool.  No input is needed, the scan is running.
• Notepad will open with the results, click Yes to the Optional_Scan
• Please follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
• Close the program window, and delete the program from your Desktop.
