    Game Problem...?
    « on: March 14, 2010, 12:11:37 PM »
Well, I have this problem. Every time I play a game, it freezes every like 3 to 4 seconds.

Which game are you trying to play and what are your computer specs?

If it's doing that offline gaming it's the framerate. Your computer system can't keep up with the graphics. You should check your system requirements of the game against your computer hardware. It will probably need a be the graphics card or processor, in which case you might need to upgrade to fully enjoy it and later games.

You might want to try turn down the antialiasing, texture quality and/or resolution, in the games option and check if that helps.

If it's freezing only in online gaming however, that is lag and an issue with your internet connection / setup.

Well it's not a game in particular, flash games in general.

Specs, umm, how you don't expect me to remember them ^^"
      How would I find out?

when you say "flash games in general", those are the online games you can play?

Or are you trying to play a game you have installed direct to your computer?

      Ahh flash games...

Try update your flash plugin to the latest version (untick 'Free Google Toolbar' unless you want that as well):
      http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Clear your temporary internet files / cache.

Go to a clean arcade site (no other things that might cause issues like popups/adverts/scripting/etc) and pick a simple flash game to play. You can even go to my site if you wish - Aaron's Game Zone: http://azzaboi.weebly.com

Once loaded, right click the flash object and select 'settings'. Ensure 'hardware acceleration' is ticked. Under the 'local storage' tab ensure it's set to 100kb or if it requires more increase this. Close and play the game.

Things like cursor animations in flash games can really slow it down depending on your mouse and drivers.

If the game is still lagging out, try again in full screen. Linking directly to the game itself. My site allows this as it helps reduce some computers lagging on some games like 'SAS: Zombie Assault 2' even when they are high specs.

Hope you solve your problem and have fun!

Okay. The first three suggestions I always do :P

The right clicking one seems like it'll work.

Thanks. I'll update if it makes a difference.
