Stuck Constantly Zooming In/Out

Just for ****s and giggles, unplug the mouse and see if it still happens. 

Likewise, try disconnecting the keyboard and see if it still happens.

Well neither unplugging the keyboard nor the mouse fixes the problem... it seems that as long as the cursor is in the page it zooms out... but I am still thinking about the left control key; when I tried COD I would be constantly switching back and forth between standing and crouching ("teabagging" if you will, or what happens when you press the CTRL key repeatedly)

hmm I found a spare keyboard... once I got rid of the bad one and put this one in it works now, so I am just guessing that the problem was the left CTRL key?
