installing joy pad

hi i am installing a joy pad for the first time i ran the cd i got with it and went through the set up, ive pluged the pad in the usb port and nothing is happening the little red light in the pad is lit up. what am i doing wrong????

Go to the control panel click the game controllers icon...... does it list the game pad.....

Nothing happens until you use it in a game.

Did the drivers not include calibration software?

yes i got soft ware with it and in the software there is a section where it shows u how to install by going to the control panel clicking on the game pad and then u have to click properties , when i click that nothing happen that screen shuts. do u know of any other way of installing it ??

Try obtaining drivers that come with an installer.
