    Move Folders / HDD Full
    « on: September 14, 2010, 08:59:54 PM »
    Hello:

I have a Dell Laptop.  The HDD has two volumes as follows:

    OS (C:) 60 GB FULL
Local Disk (D:) 396 GB free of 397 GB

So most of the folders and Files are on C:.  Only some DELL EULA and Service Agreements are on D:.

I would think that C: should be the larger volume and where user files are kept.  Is there any way to make C: larger, or should I move user files to D:?

    Thanks.

It's a friends notebook I'm working on.  I'm doing a chkdsk /r right now so it'll be awhile before I can post a screenshot ... but I can tell you that disk C: on top has a horizontal bar that is red because it's full and disk D: on bottom is white.

I'm always so pleased to get "oh well" because I know exactly what my options are now.

I found a freeware partition changing utility called gparted.

          Thanks anyway.
