flash drive

I know this is a very basic question but need help. I downloaded 170 files onto  an 8 g Centon flash drive from an older PC with Vista OS and I'm trying to transfer them to a PC that has  Windows 7 for OS.

Problem is i can't figure out how to transfer en masse without having to click and drag each file individually.

I'm sure there's a way but have looked and tried to find but no luck. Youtube was not helpful in terms of showing how to go from flash to computer with MANY files.

Click on the first file. Hold down the SHIFT key and click on the last file. Then drag them all where you want them. Alternatively, right-click and drag from under the first file to over the last to select all.

Do you have to hold down the shift key while you're dragging them over to my documents, (in this case),, and you apparently don't have to use the copy or paste feature?

No. Holding the SHIFT key is simply the method to "select all" files.
