    Hi everyone,

    My computer is running really slowly and im not sure why.

    Ive tried deleting files to create more disk space, disk cleanup, error checking, defragmentation, checked for viruses, update windows. None of these steps seem to be helping.

    Does anyone know what I can do?

      Programs are taking very long to load.

      Once they do load, they often freeze.

      What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

        Nothing is new as far as im concerned.

        I may have downloaded some music/movies but thats about it.

          Hey riky20,

          What is the model of the computer?  What OS are you running?  How much RAM do you have?  Some older laptops have a 4200 RPM hard drive that is very slow and might be worth upgrading *shrug*.  Need more info  :)
