Laptop Wi-Fi security code

I would like to check if my laptop Wi-Fi has a secure code set
Can anyone advise how I can check this?

I use a separate modem on my main PC and connect the laptop to the internet through the same modem. Unfortunately I cannot remember setting a pass code when I bought the laptop new about 2 years ago.

Open a browser like IE or Firefox. In the address window key in 192.168.1.1 and hit enter. If you get into your router and need Login/Password try admin and password. If this works and you get into router look up "Security"
