    Write Protect

    I have a KingMax 256MB USB memory stick and it won't let me format it, it keeps saying it is write protected, how do you over come this I wish to format it.

          It will be a very little switch.
          Can you remove both halves of the outer case, perhaps the switch is being covered by the case being put on incorrectly.

            You cannot open the case it is moulded and there is no toggle switch on it it's a Kingmax stick the one that the USB part slides out and locks.

                Close to the thumbs slider for the plug is a lock to write protect the drive.
