wireless connection

When my wireless card is inserted in my laptop, it shows great connection to my wireless modem, but I am unable to open my internet connection.  I can connect to the internet using my USB connection.  I have checked everything I can think of, and to no avail.  Any thoughts?

Have you tried installing the drivers for the card? Which operating system are you using?
