    Hello to all
After installing avast free and updated. I could not access to the Internet (I use mobile broadband 3 G connection )

After uninstall Avast I can access to the Internet
I installed avast again and stop the web shield
Then i can login to the Internet .

Is this to act properly. Or cause problems ???

How does one "login to the Internet"?  It's big thing, you know.   ;)

It won't cause problems if you use good sense and practice safe browsing.  It's just a tool to provide protection from evil websites.  Some people are pretty at this by just using their brain; others, not so good.

By the way, I've installed avast on numerous computers and never had a problem connecting to the Internet while leaving the avast's Web Shield feature enabled.

Seems strange, i use Avast and Firefox, never had a problem.

What firewall do you use ?

Have you ran a virus scan ?

Did you or do you have any McAfee products on your PC ?

Hello: did you have to change your Firefox security settings to allow Avast to update online? I get a failure to connect notice when I try to do the online updates, even though I can can connect to everywhere else. I have disconnected my Windows firewall and also have uninstalled all other virus guards except Avast (is Avira the same as Avast?)

Anyway, any suggestions for getting the online updates to work?

        Thanks
