    cpu making beeps and nothing appear on monitor

    Hello everybody, i have an msi 7392 motherboard, with 2 gb ddr2 ram, 500 gb hard disk, pentium dual core 2.8 with a 512 mb pci express graphic card..
    Actalu the problem is that, when i turn on my computer, nothing appears on my monitor, i have checked every hardware in my cpu and all is fine but i don't khow why nothing is appearing in mo monitor, have even check the monitor and the monitor is also working...
    the cpu makes a small beep continuously at about 10 second interval.. Can anybody help me please? Thxxx in advance..

    The CPU or your computer? Those are two different things.

    What BIOS is installed on your mainboard?

      i dont khow, its the phoenix one i think.. yes, when i turn on my computer, the system unit turns on, the light lights and we can hear the noise of the fan but it gets a short beep continuously with at about 15 second interval, i tried to count how much beeps and i reach at about 18, lol, then i gave up counting.. still nothing on screen..

      Hmm... I'm not aware of Phoenix bios' making continious beep codes.

      Have you tried using a different power supply?

      One continuous beep isn't an officially listed Phoenix beep code but I know of several instances of this occurring. In at least one case, the solution was to reseat the CPU.

      Doesn't seem to be an "official" error code.

        yes, i have just trry another power supply, still the same, yes, am also thinking like you but if i change the motherboard? will it be 100% sure that the problem will be solved?

        If the mainboard beeps, I wouldn't consider it dead just yet.

        How old is all this equipment? And what have you done before the beeping started?

          the last time i have use the pc, i played need for speed on it, then i turn it off normally, but teh day after when turning on, i got this problem, what would you sugest me?

            and yes, abt the equipment, its been 18 month since i bought it except the hard disk, i had change the hard disk 12 month ago..

            So you haven't made any hardware changes the last time you used it?

            Have you tried resetting the BIOS by removing the battery?
