freezing while gaming

hi i got a problem with my laptop when i play track mania in ubuntu it freezes all the time why can you help me please what do i have to do to make it run faster

well it freezes all the time  and my computers CPU runs at 57c all the time when i turn it on from the morning it runs immediately at 45c but when i game 65c
but its not the heat the problem its some thing else it freezes is it the space the video card the graphics card is it the screen?what is it?

What are the specs?

Is it a bought game or a download?

What are the game requirements?

Have you tried speedfan?

Have you tried anything?

Laptops are not really designed to play games (i never understand why people do, tbh) they are designed towards working on the move.
Do you own a desktop?

what does speedfan has to do with gaming my laptop is acer ferrari 3200 its a downloaded game not the full version and i now my computer can with it because i played it before when i had xp

Speedfan can show you internal temperatures and allow you to control the speed of the fans. Being as you've stated an high temp and all.

i always now what the internal temperatures whit looking at my tool bar but with speed fan i cant control the fan on my laptop

Yeah I do find Speedfan ineffective at controlling most laptop fans....

65C while under load is great for a desktop CPU and just plain awesome for a laptop CPU. You haven't told us about your graphics card's temps though...

Also, how does it freeze? Does the sound keep playing after the video freezes? After the freeze does the computer return to normal? Or do you have to force restart?
