    hp2511x no longer finds computer.
    « on: February 24, 2013, 08:44:55 AM »
The monitor was running just fine until i unplugged all the cords from the back (power, vga cord, bluetooth) and i tried to instate a used internal drive from my dead windows 7 laptop. their is another pin set in between the ssd(has windows ) and my other drive just for convienience, and i tried to insert this drive in between it. could this be the possible issue?once i removed it, the monitor still refuses to detect my computer.

don't really know much about the specs.

oh, and when i turn on the computer, my usb adaptor seems to turn on but my wireless keyboard says 'no connection' and my mouse does not have the red light underneath, so could it be that the comp turns on but is not booting?

    thanks.
    derk.

Remove the dead drive and re-boot a few times...
If you need the data from the laptop drive an external enclosure would probably be best although there are laptop to SATA/IDE adapter cables...
