i dont know you but i need help with my hard drive it is a 120 gb hard drive form western digital and i am currently trying to install win xp on it because my old drive got a virus and got messed up but twoards the end of the installation it said the HD got stuck in a loop can you help me?

I've never heard of "Your Hard Drive Got Stuck In A Loop", but if you hum a few bars........

    You bought a new hard drive because the old one had a virus ...........?  Why didn't you simply remove the virus ........?

      because my dad tried deleting evrything on the drive and it got f***ed up so i had to get a new one and the message on the screen was: the device driver got stuck in an infinite loop to stop any damage to your comp. windows will shut down_it was close to that......

        Is this anything like what you are experiencing?

        The infinite loop problem

        Have you disconnected all peripherals, and have you tried re-seating the RAM modules?
