Hey, I've been having huge issues for at least 4 days now with the read only feature, Spent way over 24 man hours trying to sort it out just to play a game. Problem is I can't untick it from a game and I can't play the game till I have done so.
Firstly I went through everything I could think of personally to fix the issue and it had no effect, So I ended up reformating my computer and then reinstalling it, Had no effect so I done it again ^^ yet again had no effect.
So I researched into it and done basically everything suggested of me. stuff like command promt with commands like ( attrib -r +s "C:\Documents and Settings\Worsbeef\My Documents\Downloads\Wow") Which should be the exact command had no effect.
I then got recommended to take ownership of it which I have done so through secruity etc etc but yet again its having 0 effect, I'm completely out of ideas and seriously loosing the will, 24 hours+ just to remove a read only check is getting silly.
My version of windows xp is; Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3.
