    bootable usb not working and bluescreen

    first of, I have windows xp on my other laptop but i can use it because if a bluescreen iqr_notequall_or_less somthing came up, Its a blue screen, Now im trying to reformat it using a bootable usb using rufus, when im about to reformat it. it says "bootmgr is corrupted, system cannot boot" Im trying to install windows 7.. Please help me, I beg of you :(

    Sounds like you don't have the BIOS set to boot to USB 1st...

      What do i do? THANKYOU FOR THE REPLY.

      I tried to install windos xp but its no use. when it's installing, somewhere on the middle the bluescreen IQRL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Appears. i dont know, is something disconnected inside my laptop. The one im using now is not that great. and that laptop is the only key to my happiness this whole year. Please help . :'(

      In order to boot from USB the laptop BIOS has to support it...
      Please post the full Make and Model of the laptop...

        My laptop is "Compaq presario v2000". Im trying to install windows xp. which is the original Os of that laptop, but for some reason i cant install.
