Formatting data

I have formatted data in Access, Word and Excel ie: a date field to print in long date format and currency to print with £ and 2 decimal places.
After checking all the obvious settings the data is printing in American style format.
Can anyone help ?

Go to Control Panel>Regional and Language Options and under Regional Options Tab choose English(UK) for Standards and Fromats.

Assuming that you use XP:)
