how do I get my taskbar to go along the bottom of the screen as opposed to along the right side?

click on the task bar, holding the (left click) button down, then dragging it to your diresired lcoation.

Also...
If you're using WinXP, make sure your Taskbar is Unlocked or it won't move.

Right click on unused area of Taskbar and uncheck Lock the Taskbar

Then as previous, move the Taskbar
