Email From address

Hi

I use Outlook with through Exchange Server. One of my clients wants me to send email as if it came from him - i.e. put his email address in the 'from' box

I know from spam that this is possible, but how do I do it?

It's called spoofing. Did your client mention why he wants this done? There are many talented people in this forum, but it doubtful anyone will touch this with a ten foot pole.

Yes, I know it's a sensitive area  :-/

It is legit! We are acting for him, but he wants the clients to think the emails come from him - any other get around would be welcome

I understand everyone's feeling very twitchy about this. I'd make 2 points

1 The 50 -100 spam emails I get every day already know how to do this. Spammers are wll into it and don't need any help

2 I can set up my hotmail account to give a different reply to address from the hotmail address. Can I do this on Exchange?

We are a service bureau. Our client has outsourced certain admin functions to us and when we email his clients (on his behalf) he wants them to appear as if they come from him (which in effect they do!). So rather than play Pontious Pilate here, can some-one please give me some reasonable pointers on how to approach this problem. If you had my email address would that help? - or PM?

If you Google "change outgoing address from exchange" you'll find 1.6 million ways to do this. One of them should be helpful.
