trouble with mike & earphone

On my w- 10 desktop I have a ear phone & microphone with 2 plugins.
Now I bought a set that only has 1 plugin. What do I need to make this set work. It says I don't have it pluged in. Would I need bluetooth in my computer and how to tell if I do have it.

Go to a store and look for microphone adapters.
The new microphone you have is for a smartphone that has just one place to plug in the mic. You Desktop PC and many laptops have two plugs.

It will spit the feed into two plugs.
