screen resolution problem
« on: February 14, 2006, 04:43:07 PM »
This is a serious problem. I was using my computer, and suddenly, the screen went black. It came back about 10 seconds later, but the entire screen resolution was turned sidewards. Now I have to titl my head to see it straight. How Can this be fixed? Here are the following things I tried.

-Restarting the computer.
-Searching through the Display Properties (the only allowed screen resolutions all have 768 as the first number)
-Searching the internet to find a problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The computer is a dell dimension 3000 with Windows XP. Its fairly new, bought it back in september. I have Norton Antivirus and Microsoft Antispyware running on the computer.

Much Appreciated.

nevermind, I figured out the problem. Somehow, the rotation was adjusted to 90 degrees in the Intel Extreme Graphics settings. I ran Norton while blocking traffic, so I don't know how the problem was started.
