Connecting to the Internet
« on: March 25, 2006, 02:33:31 PM »
I have just built my first computer. I have installed the operating system. My computer has a MSI K8N Neo Platinum motherboard with two LAN ports. My question is, do I have to add any PCI cards to the motherboard to connect to a cable modem or a LAN line or can I just plug into the ports on my motherboard and go? Will someone please give me some help? Thank you very much.

Ensure that the onboard LAN devices are enabled in the BIOS, install any needed drivers and away you go.... As long as of course, your modem is able to connect via a LAN.
