Drop down menu problem
« on: April 21, 2006, 04:55:11 AM »
Hi

Can any one help?

The problem I have is that when I am using IE6 I write a web address in the address bar and then press go or the enter key nothing happens. Also if I click on the dropdown menu on the address bar the system hangs and normally crashes.
This problem is not only an IE6 problem, when I use any office programme I try to save the document and I can not use the navigation drop down menu to save the document in the “save as” dialog box.

I have used system restore this solved the problem for about 3 days, but it has come back!!!!!

To add another twist to this is that I have a laptop that has the same problem, again I used the system restore to sort the problem, the laptop has not reverted back to the problem as yet.

The 2 computers are liked through a wireless network. They both have AVG on them, with windows firewall, adaware SE & spybot

Did you run those scanners to see if there was anything wrong?

Check to see if those programs are blocking anything to do with IE that you don't need, run a disk cleanup too.
