« on: July 10, 2006, 12:37:21 PM »
Hi i got 1 hour to do this efore i get home
Ok

i have setup a wireless connection for my friends laptop and now i am having trouble to get another pc to connect to the router.
My friends PC is winXP Home edition | Version: 5.1.200 sp1 build 2600: i have sucessfully installed the wireless adabtor (BELKIN | Wireless G USB Network Adapter) on the PC. But getting the PC to connect to my router was the problem. By going through the this proceedure:
Netwok connection
wireless network conection 2
and entering the network key
click connect
And nothing happen

Using there USB utility software
The software say it has detected the router (wanadoo-81C0) with plenty of signals,
The program says.... No wireles network connection            WHY
It did say on the property bit saying (channel 1)
Does that have any effects

Thank you Computer expert
Please reply as soon as possible

Ok i have finally connected the internet to the PC
but the wireless internet keep cutting off when login on the net.
Only 2% of the time it connect stright away.
My signal is sometime good but most of the time it is poor or very low.

Oh i am buying a new wirles adtor tomoro and getting the better one do you think this will make any differents?
The one i have got now is £20

Any ideas

it all depends where the router is possitioned. closest to the center of the house is best. and i also believe a better adapter will help u out.
