Computer parts frying...

Following up on the HDD forum. What would a software have to do to make a piece of hardware cause sparks and explode into flame?

Many viruses already are capable of destroying parts. Rob already mentioned "thrashing." I believe a similar method can be done with memory cards as well.

But like in movies when computer literally explode and start steaming....that's got to be a movie technique.

The only explanation i can think of is...having an oxygen tank in the computer.....codes open it and release gas, then have the computer work at extremely high rates overheating, the heat will ignite a piece of paper resting on the CPU. The computer will catch flame and start destroying internal wires and parts causing a blazing sparking reaction.

That's my guess, but besides codes that just overload parts, i have never seen a computer work so crazily.
