It's just a matter of which one you might like, I prefer AMD, back in the old days they were cheaper and faster, now I don't think there is a difference.

It seems to be according to who you are talking to either.

Almost like Ford VS Chevy.

Chevy is better!!! ;D ;D ;D

Currently Intel has the upper hand with their new "Core 2 Duo" line of CPUs.
Also, AMD has yet to start manufacturing their CPUs at a 65nm process, wich Intel has alread been doing for a while..
AMD will release their FX-64 next to compete with Intels Core 2 Extreme X6800 CPU.

Every once in a while one of the company's will be the best, wich will last for a short while.
Originally, it was thought that AMD was the best, because their CPU were made better.. as in at lower freaquences their CPUs performed better then an Intel at higher freaquences, wich made gamers buy them for in-game performance. However with the Core 2 Duo series of CPUs Intel has once again taken the crown for best CPU performance.

@Track - AMD has dual-core processors as well, they have had them for a bit now.  They even have dual-cores for notebooks.

I am afraid Track is right... he did not say AMD don't have duel-core processors, just none of 65nm yet.
