Floppy disk standards
« on: November 06, 2006, 12:13:06 PM »
I have just fitted a 1.44mb floppy drive in a musical instrument. Can a modern fdd read old dd floppies? If not I assume I need a dd(720k) drive. Any hints where i might find one in the uk?

A modern floppy drive can write to a 720 k floppy, all things being equal, like it is formatted correctly, the drive heads are fine, etc.
